Overview

Capsule is an AI fashion styling system I designed and built to challenge a common assumption: that AI reduces creativity by flattening ideas into predictable outputs.

I explored a different approach - what it would look like for AI to support human creativity instead?

For 30 days, I used only my existing wardrobe and had AI generate outfits centered on a single item. No new purchases. No scrolling. Just recombination.

Constraint didn't limit creativity. It activated it.

Capsule treats AI as a collaborator, expanding possibilities without deciding for you.

This experiment became the foundation for "Seeing the Same Things, Differently," published in The Future of Flourishing: AI and Human Flourishing at Stanford (ed. Dr. Jennifer Aaker et al.).
